An Iconic Wedding Venue in Montreal
Sheena and Vincent celebrated their love with a destination wedding in the heart of Montreal. With family and friends travelling from all over the USA and Quebec, they wanted to ensure their day was culturally inclusive, blending their Filipino-American and French-Canadian roots. Their wedding day was also featured on Loverly which can be seen here.
As a Montreal wedding photographer, my priority is always your actual experience over everything else; I’m not there to make you perform, but to document the day as it unfolds. My approach is a mix of documentary storytelling and a blend of editorial imagery. I’m there to keep things calm and grounded when the nerves are high, but also right there in the middle of the dance floor to capture that high-energy, once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere. Whether I’m shooting 35mm film or digital, I’m focused on candid human connection and the special moments that only gain more value with time. I want you to look back at your wedding photos and remember exactly how it felt to be in the heart of the city with your people, without the day ever feeling like a photo shoot.
With one of Montreal's top wedding planners, Mylène Mayer, the wedding day was absolutely beautiful from start to end. We got ready at Hotel Gault in the Old Port of Montreal, which has that classic European architecture that makes that area so unique. From there, we captured beautiful portraits in Old Montreal before heading to the ceremony at St. Viator Catholic Church- for a very meaningful, multi-lingual wedding ceremony.
The cocktail hour and wedding reception were at Le Cathcart, in downtown Montreal. the cocktail hour was held outside at Le Cathcart's terrace, with a champagne tower, an overflow of cocktails and delicious appetizers made by Montreal's Traiteur Brera caterer, everyone was having a fantastic time!
For so many out of town guests, this venue was a really unique and iconic spot to celebrate and party at! With its impressive glass rooftop, you feel like you're in a high-rise building, when you're actually just below ground-level! As you'll see in the photos below, because of the venues unique design, the reception and dance floor feel so romantic.
From the intentional design to the impressive energy their guests brought to their wedding day, it was truly one for the books! The floral design was created by Atelier Carmel- a master florist in Montreal who is know for curating the most beautiful local and seasonal flowers. From the custom dance floor by KV Print Bar, to their rentals from Celebrations Group and their multi-tiered wedding cake by Au Pays de Delices, all the details were perfectly intentional and came together so beautifully.

Room Reveal at Le Cathcart
During the cocktail hour, we snuck into the reception for a room reveal and private first dance! Sheena and Vincent were very excited to see all the planning and dreams actually come to life, before their guests arrived. I loved getting to capture this intimate moment, the calm before a night full of celebrations!
The Reception
It was one for the books as you can see in the photos- the most emotional speeches, an epic line dancing moment and a night full of laughter and dancing with their favourite people!
