The Super 8 Wedding Film

THE FEELING OF A HOME MOVIE, ELEVATED.

Capturing the breath in between the frames.

Super 8 wedding films capture the breath in between each moment. It isn’t about high-definition production or staged cinematic sequences; it’s about the raw, flickering energy of the day. It’s the way your mom cried as you walked down the aisle, the overbearing kisses your grandma smothered you with, and the excitement on your face during sunset as you realize you just married your best friend. These moments get preserved on authentic, grainy, old-school film. Watching these videos you have a sense of nostalgia thinking back to your grandparents capturing your childhood in the most perfectly imperfect way.

WHY SUPER 8?

For couples who value a documentary approach, Super 8 offers a depth of nostalgia that digital simply can’t replicate. This isn't a traditional wedding film. There is no audio, no intrusive crew, and zero "performance." It is just me, a vintage film camera, and the honest movement of your day.

  • The Medium: Shot on authentic Kodak 35mm or 16mm-inspired Super 8 stocks.
  • The Vibe: Silent, rhythmic, and intentional.
  • The Result: A curated 2–3 minute highlight reel that lives alongside your gallery.

MY LOVE FOR ANALOG

As a photographer rooted in candid storytelling and a never-ending love for nostalgia, bringing a Super 8 camera along feels like a natural extension of my photography process. It allows me to document your day through a consistent artistic lens, ensuring the motion feels just as timeless as the stills, while never becoming the star of the wedding day. Effortlessly singing with guests, being that fly on the wall and expertly guiding you through portraits.

Super 8 is available exclusively as an add-on to wedding photography collections. To maintain the intimacy of the day, this is not available if a separate wedding videography team has been hired.

An Old Port Wedding on Super 8 Film:

Hotel Nelligan & Hôtel Place d’Armes

Alex and James got married in the heart of the Old Port, with family traveling from all over Canada to celebrate. Their day was focused on the people and the energy of being together- the kind of day that Super 8 was built for.

Because we captured it on film, they’re left with more than just a recording; they have a living, moving memory of the way the Old Port felt that afternoon. It’s raw, it’s grainy, and it lets them relive those moments without the polish of a traditional production.
