Candid 35mm FILM Wedding Photos in Montreal

This weekend I had the honour of capturing Trycia + Steven's wedding in the European-Inspired Old Port of Montreal and I'm so excited to share their film photos! With the bride wearing a beautiful short white wedding dress with embroidered lace puff sleeves and the groom wearing a white suit. The bride wore a stunning vintage fascinator veil headband.

After the ceremony, we headed to the Montreal World Trade Center for some indoor wedding photos. We captured a lot of candid moments as well as editorial vogue style photos. Next we headed to the Old Port and T + S were willing to brave the freezing cold temperature outside for some outdoor wedding photos in the heart of Old Montreal.

The photos included in this blog are all captured on 35mm film which I absolutely love. It bring back that nostalgia grain we love to see. Inspired by my grandfather, I began capturing films as a hobby and now incorporate into my wedding days which is so special to me!

We spent the afternoon baring the freezing cold to capture those editorial, Vogue-style shots against the backdrop of Old Montreal. This is the kind of storytelling I love as a Montreal wedding photographer. It’s unscripted, it’s intentional, and it feels like a permanent archive of the day rather than just a set of photos

While Trycia and Steven’s day was a winter editorial style, my approach to intimate weddings is specific to the unique energy of every couple, space and season. Whether it’s a sun-drenched outdoor celebration, a contemporary architectural celebration in mid-July, or a destination Montreal wedding at a historic venue, the core remains the same: less performance, more life.
